The Naanzza

This came from a few people irc talking about pizza with the idea of a keema naan bread as the base of a pizza appeared.

<spicypixel> is it a keema naan style pizza base?!
<Phat-Ass> this needs to be done

<spicypixel> pro tier
<spicypixel> lets get to work
<Phat-Ass> i could actually make one if i went and got a keema naan from the indian :|

<spicypixel> keema naan base, curried chicken topped pizza
<spicypixel> probably easy sell

<Phat-Ass> thius... this needs investigating
<spicypixel> shhh we have evolved this idea now

So it turns out its already been done in a way. Bugger.

<spicypixel> oh lordy
<spicypixel> still, little more cheese and tomato and we're golden

Not that it stopped me of course. One trip to the local indian later:

... and i have a naan to use for the base. I checked it had the lamb in, and it did, first success. In keeping with the lamb theme, i had an idea for a sauce. I'm not a huge fan of tomato bases on pizzas, but bbq sauce seemed a bit too sweet for this. Instead....

BBQ-Mint sauce.

Yes it looks weird. but its very minty and takes a lot of the sweetness away from the BBQ sauce. Mix it well and spread:

(apparently i forgot to take that photo, you can imagine it instead)

In a pan, cooked a piece of bacon, then chopped it up with 2 mushrooms, half a yellow pepper and about 2 inches of some cured sausage i had in the fridge.

Nom. Cook them for a few minutes and then add to the Naanzza base.

Finally, the all important cheese. about a handful of grated mature cheddar over the top with some herbs and a few splats of mint sauce for good measure:

How does it taste? I dont know, its currently in the oven and has been for ten minutes or so, given everything is cooked already its just to melt the cheese and make sure its generally properly warm (since the naan was on the side a while during the prep).

Follow up post to come with post cooking and eating pics.
